Love this comb! So simple and easy. Works wonders with my two long hair cats that shed constantly and get matted easily, this comb keeps them looking sleek and mat-free.

I bought this to replace a metal comb I had had for over 20 years that I lost recently. All the other metal combs I have or that I looked at in stores have pointy, almost sharp, ends. Although my great pyrenees didn't seem to care as he loves being groomed, they would hurt my fingers whenever I would accidentally hit my hand when holding up the guard coat to get to the shedding undercoat. Also like my old comb, this has two sets of combs which I prefer. I use the wide spaced set to start, and the the finer set to finish. Something else I really like is the plastic handle. Other metal combs usually don't have something like this and it makes it easier on my hand, especially after 45-60 minutes of grooming.

My cat is short haired with a very fine undercoat that is prone to form small but dense mats. A friend has a dollar store pet comb similar to this that works well on their cat and when I couldn’t find it at the dollar store I found this one on Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to receive a very sturdy and comfortable to use comb despite the relatively low price. The widely spaced side isn’t useful on the short haired cat but the narrow side is perfect for breaking up the matted fine hair and removing most of the clumps. I follow up with an even finer comb and the cat looks great. Also very sure the cat feels better too possibly because the small mats constantly pull on his skin. I’d buy again.
