Just the best pens! Nice to have 3 of the most used size.

I use these with moleskin journals for work notes, running journals, and hobby notes. These don’t smear and they last forever.

4 stars was my compromise between how I felt for what I used the pen for, and how I feel about it as a pen in general.I went seeking out a pen to potentially replace my Pilot Fineliners, my past favourite pen, because they smeared on the plastified playing cards I was writing on. I heard the issue was with the formulation of the ink, and I heard these Pigma pens might work as a substitute for their quick drying qualities. What I would do with my Pilots was to blow a fan on the ink for 15 minutes, then use a makeup pad to dab away excess ink, and then to apply some gentle friction with the pad to not transfer over to the plastic sleeves I was going to put them in after. This image doesn't show how bad the Pilot can get, it mainly does not transfer except for where the globs of ink are, ie. wherever you lift your pen. With gentle friction, the Pigma does better, whereas with the Pilots even gentle friction with fresh ink can be bad. However, with heavier friction, as shown in the image, there doesn't seem to be a limit to how much the ink will smear, and so for my scenario, it isn't a good replacement. One last thing I'll say, with the Fineliner I feel like my handwriting is a lot more flattering, while with the Pigma I feel it doesn't move in a straight line easily, like I am writing on a bus even though I'm perfectly steady.By no means does this pen deserve a 3-star grade though, I know people who live and die by this pen, so I am comfortable giving it a 4 star. Before hitting submit, I had the idea of demonstrating on some more conventional paper the difference. Both pens looks good, though the Pilot does leak across and through the paper, and also applying friction in the same way I did with the first test, both look unaffected, maybe Pilot is slightly affected. So, if you are writing on normal paper, then if you don't want smears, Pigma. If you want a smoother writing experience, Pilot. Hope that helps.
