100% recomendable.

I usually get another brand of these and they work great. I have been using this type of pen for ten years. For some reason when I opened the package to use it today I had issues from the get-go. I started off with the usual excessive shaking to ensure proper mixing. Then I had my scratch paper to start the pen on, you know, press down a few times, get the ink flowing, then write. That's where the problem begins.Plenty of ink, it flows down to the nib, but the nib retains none of it. So you can get a gold puddle but not actually write with it.As I mentioned this is my first time using this brand. I don't know if it's common to have defects with these however, it's just been opened today and it's beyond its return date so I am stuck with a dud that I can't use. VERY frustrating.

This is the best color gold I have found, at least in pens. I use them to restore the gold lettering on antique family bibles. The tips can get clogged easily. So you may need to use a very fine wire to unclog the tip which easily removes from the end of the pen. Can't tell you which gauge wire. Not as fine as 44 gauge but I don't remember what size..

The ink from this pen is gorgeous. Just be careful not to put your face too close while drawing, as it smells pretty strongly until it dries.

It came in with one of the cap off, so the ink is all dried up, I shook it many times and nothing, Had to throw it in the garbage.

I purchased about a dozen of these, for folks at work to sign Christmas cards with. The first marker worked like a charm. They run out fairly fast, so after 200 signatures or so, we had to open our second one. We couldn't get that one to work at all. The third was okay, but didn't last half as long as the first. Fourth one again worked like a charm. And so the story goes. You have a 50/50 chance of these working the way you hope them to. I will not buy them again.
