This chair cylinder replacement lift was exactly as advertised! Heavy duty, cost less and the lift is even higher than the ones I got from others. Installation was easy but it doesn't come with an easy way to separate the old cylinder from the chair seat like the last ones I bought! You will need a lift cylinder removal tool but very easy to get!

I'm very happy to have a high, functional chair back without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a new one! Most of the chair is in great condition, it would have been so wasteful to throw it out. Installation was easy, but be warned, getting the old cylinder out of the chair is NOT. If you've been sitting on the chair for a while, the cylinder will be jammed in there tight, so do your research and find out how to knock it out. Still, a $30 replacement part beats buying a $500 chair any day.

I have a handicap that makes it difficult to get up out of low chairs. This allows me keep my favorite chair and have it higher, easier to use. I actually bought three so I could fix all of my desk chairs.
