Some of the smoothest paper I’ve ever used, and the plastic cover keeps it clean. The thickness of the paper is decent enough to prevent significant bleed through, only darker color inks from my fountain pen will really be noticeable on the next sheet. Extra fine nibs seem to work the best with this paper but I can get up to medium nibs and still have a good experience.

I got this combo pack so that I'd have a cover for my new notebook. Unfortunately, the cover is too small for the notebook, and the notebook won't sit flat with the cover on it. I think the cover needs to be a few milimeters larger for it to fit proper.

- Regarding using fountain pen, this Midori notebook is much better than Moleskine and MUJI notebooks. The same ink (noodler black) is less likely to be feathering on Midori. Writing experience is very enjoyable.- The cover works very well. Easy to install. Not easy to fall apart. Very good.- Based on the instruction, the side tab is to insert a label for archival/highlighting purpose, rather than attaching pens. Nevertheless, I tried and it works well.Highly recommend. I will purchase more.
