Great water filter and super easy to install. Took me only a few minutes. If you're at all handy, this will be no problem. If it starts leaking, make sure it's tight enough at the adapter that connects it to the original faucet. The filters are inexpensive, and the whole unit is loads cheaper than other brands. Sure, it doesn't have an indicator light, but that's about the only difference. It's chrome finished and seems to be holding up well after a couple of months of use and regular cleaning. Would recommend if you're looking for a water filter but don't want to spend an arm and a leg for one.

I could have given full five stars but the filter cut my flow rate by almost 90%. I am getting just a trickle of water ! Dont know if the filter is working overtime - my water supply is good enough except for normal impurities - we even have a pressure pump installed. I will try a different cartridge in future and update.

I was never really a water snob. Tap water has always been good in my area, and i've never felt bottled water was much better than tap. I moved to a new place and found the water was good, but after a while i started to notice a slightly... algae-ish flavor and decided i wanted to get a filter if I was going to keep up my water drinking habit.I've used brita pitchers in the past, and always thought faucet filters were less effective until i did a bit of research and found it's actually quite the opposite, faucet filters are cheaper and more effective. Brita and Pur's faucet filters sounded like leak city, so I opted for this one. What more can I say other than it just makes great water. Even a glass, tepid and stagnant from sitting out all night, is still refreshing and delicious. Coffee and teas are markedly improved. Installation was trivial, even for a non gender conforming 28 year old manchild.Oddly, the cap that encloses my filter is a light matte silver, not chrome like in the picture, and it doesn't look so hot especially against the chrome base it attaches to. This might have been a problem with my vendor?

Filter works hardly for a couple of months. Then it needs replacement.

I received and installed this today....no problems. I have been using a zerowater pitcher that came with a TDF gauge, so I did a comparison. (I got tired of lifting that heavy jug in and out of the fridge!) Unfiltered tap water and Dupont had about the same TDF (138-140). The zerowater (with a used filter) TDF 109. They (ZW) make issue that zero TDF is better...but after doing a google search regarding TDF....the experts claim that some TDF is necessary as it contains essential minerals....and that 300 TDF or less is excellent....up to 500 is okay. So I think that this DuPont filter should not be overlooked because of this as they probably intentionally leave some minerals while removing many bad contaminants...e.g. lead, mercury, etc. So I will not be returning this Dupont because of the TDF count. (I had done this with another make filter.....mistake!) After reading all the Amazon.com reviews I don't anticipate any problems.UPDATE; JAN. 25/18....I have owned quite a few of the more popular filters over past years...This one is trouble-free and easy to use...buy this one! One minor complaint/suggestion. Instructions tell you to install with the DUPONT label facing up when assembling. I am right handed (hand that holds the water glass). So now I am doing everything with the wrong hand. So I reversed it (this does not interfere with the function) so the Dupont label faces the sink back...Now I'm okay with using it. If it is so important to Dupont to have their label facing the front, why not put it on both sides?

Una vez instalado adecuadamente el filtro proporciona agua perfectamente potable y con un agradable sabor. Es muy sencillo de colocar y opera sin contratiempos.
