I was skeptical of this product, but being that I'd sliced my fretboard hand up and was having difficulty even practicing, I thought it was worth a try. Holy guacamole! These gloves work. It takes a little getting used to playing with a glove on, but it feels much better than playing with cut fingers. And my big worry, that the strings wouldn't sound as good, was unwarranted. Everything sounded great. I would suggest to any guitarist, to keep in your case, and hope you never need.

I tried these guitar fingertip protecting gloves because my fingertips have some cracks like paper cuts. They can get painful and playing guitar has been off limits. Well the nice thing is that with gloves on, the fingertips are naturally padded and somewhat protected. However the nature of gloves like these is they just pick up lint, and tiny snags, and they get less than perfect after a week or so in my case.I do like the gloves for wearing around the house and doing normal chores on a regular basis. I can use my touch screens at will too. I'm not sure I'd say they're any more or less helpful to guitar playing specifically, but as I mention they offer some protection. I considered the picks a bonus item!

II had an infection under my index finger and was able to play my gig without any pain. Awesome gloves.
