Pipette tips are often described as universal but it can be difficult to know what that means since pipettes themselves certainly are not universal. These tips were obtained through the Amazon Vine program for evaluation. As expected, they did not fit a Pipetman LTS 10 – 100 uL pipette, but they can replace Biohit Proline 300 uL tips which is quite helpful since tips for older pipettes like this can be hard to find and sometimes rather expensive. Of course these are 200 uL tips with a lower capacity. The volume capacity from the sample end to the lower shoulder of the tip is 150 uL.These tips are a standard 50 mm in length with an OD at the pipette end of about 7.5 mm and an ID of 5.1. The diameters seem to be very slightly smaller than standard Proline tips, but the tips still fit my pipette easily and are tightly retained, and they seal well. Many of the tips were not completely straight with a slight curvature visible as shown in the photo, but that did not affect their operation. They easily fit into standard 96 well plates, although curvature might be an issue with high capacity plates with tiny well dimensions. The curvature deflection was not large, however.These bulk pack tips are not sterile and are described as being RNAse and DNAse free. That was not evaluated since it is not important for my assays. Overall these tips seem fine for routine use with a compatible pipette. I will likely purchase again.

These tip are good and autoclavable. They hold firm on the micropipette in our lab. The only weird thing I noticed is they sometimes not stand upright when packed in the tips racks. I am not sure if this because of the tips, or something wrong in my racks. Will try with different racks and update my rating with 5 starts!
