I ordered a medium and the shorts fit nice. They are snug, but not too tight. I weigh 148 lbs. and I'm 5' 9". I like the fit for wearing around the house. If you are looking for a really snug fit then a smaller size would be better, but medium is the smallest offered. In most shorts and underwear I take a small. The fit and cut looks pretty true to photos on the models.
