This is a nice camping lantern that feels quite solid yet is relatively light and small so it doesn't take up much space in my bag. It has two usage modes. When closed it can be used as a bright flashlight. It is a little wider than a standard flashlight so unless you have really large hands it might feel a little awkward, but it’s perfectly usable. The second way to use it is as a lantern and this is where it really excels. When you pull the top up it exposes a white frosted plastic piece that lets the light shine through as a lantern. This again is quite bright, perfect for a tent or a small room. I find that if I unscrew the flashlight lens cap it throws more light out the top and bounces off the ceiling making things look brighter when used in a room. The battery lasts about 9 hours. At least I’ve had it last that long though I turned it off after about 6 hours and then turned it on for another 3 hours or so before it ran out of power. There is a USB-A port on the top that can be used to charge other devices. It would be nice if it had USB-C since that’s the way things are going but I still have plenty of USB-A cables so that’s fine. For hanging it up there are two hooks beside the buttons that are quite sturdy. There are also two magnets that are quite strong and hold well when attached to a metal bar.Personally I prefer the hooks but the magnets would be useful if you used it in a car or similar. The only small negative I have is the built in charging cable. This is handy because it means you always have a cable with the lantern but it’s a little short and is USB-A only. It would have been nice if they had provided a USB-C port that allows me to charge the lantern with a longer USB-C cable. Still this is a small issue and the rest of the lantern more than makes up for it.

The Quntis Camping Lantern,3200mAh IPX4 LED Camping Lights USB Rechargeable, 600LM Portable Camping Lamp Tent Lights,Retractable Flashlight Lights Camping Gear for Home,Camping,Hiking, Fishing,Car,Yard,RVis good quality and well made. It feels very robust. The lantern offers good brightness on both high and low settings. The battery capacity came in just under 3000mAh (see photo) which is plenty close enough to the advertised 3200mAh.I've had the light running now for four (4) hours and it still shows 25% on the battery meter so I think the six (6) hour claim is fine.I ran it on the 'high' setting but I will add that it appears the lantern automatically dims over time as when i go to turn it off I have to press the button to cycle through low and SOS modes to get it off and when I click into 'low' mode it is actually a bit brighter! It's a bit of trickery to make the light last longer.Don't get me wrong it's still plenty bright for task lighting or seeing your way in the dark but I wanted to share what I've found so that you know. There seems to be excellent effort put in to protect the light from ingress protection. There's a rubber plug to cover the USB port and O rings present on several of the sections that screw together. The magnets are very strong and hold the light up no problem. The hooks also work well to hang the lantern. The unit charged at 5V 1A and as a power bank it put out 5V 1A just as advertised. At first I thought having the built in USB A cable for charging was a great idea but now that I have it and the more I think about it, it isn't so great; if anything happens to the wire or USB end the whole lantern is done, it won't be able to charge anymore and in the bin it goes. Other lights you would just get a new cable.Still a good, robust light that's great for camping or emergencies.A good deal at ~$36 at the time of this review with a 30% potential coupon discount.

The lantern is very compact. Easy to hook onto your pack or throw in your bag. Battery lasts very long and can do double duty as a phone charger. Strong magnets on the top of lantern make it easy to attach anywhere. There is also a conveniently attached usb for easy charging.

I ordered the 3200 mAh camping lantern by Quntis. The top of the lantern is replete with a power switch, USB A output port, two steel hooks, four blue power level indicators, magnets, and a USB A input cable. The bottom of the lantern has a flashlight reflector. The first press on the power switch lights up the battery level LEDs. Subsequent presses move through the high, low, and SOS modes. A final press turns off the light. The two steel hooks can be raised to meet each other and form an unbroken loop. This allows the lantern to be securely attached to tent ceiling loops, overhead rods, or even thin tree branches. The magnets are strong enough to hold the lantern sideways on a refrigerator door as long as the door does not swing and jostle the lantern to fall. The lantern is cylindrical and larger in diameter than most flashlights. As a result, the reflector on the bottom projects a powerful beam from the single LED. The beam has a central bright spot while being dimmer around the rest of its light circle. However, due to the sheer size of the lantern, the whole beam provide more than adequate light for any distant or near task.Pulling on the bottom of the light (not unscrewing it) causes it to extend and reveal a translucent white tube. The area light casts deep shadows and is a hard circular light rather than truly soft ambient lighting. Again, the one LED provides ample light as long as you do not mind shadows (from items nearby including people).I turned on the lantern at night when it was retracted and sitting on a table. The bezel around the bottom was so smooth and uniform that I saw absolutely no light shining on the table. I had to pick up the light to let light escape and see the flashlight was really working. I also turned on the light in the dark when it was already extended like an area light. The unit retracted in response to my finger pressing the power button and did not turn on until fully retracted. While the product stays extended with no trouble, it still collapses too easily for one finger to turn it on as a night light. Also, the power button needing to be pressed twice to advance past the battery level action is a somewhat clumsy sequence when you want light quickly. This light basically needs two hands for full operation. The USB A output port is a nice way to use the lantern as a power bank of last resort. The 3200 mAh capacity is enough to mostly charge up a modern phone. That said, it is insufficient to fully charge the newest, biggest phones, and would leave the lantern empty, unable to light up. Of course, what the product cedes in battery capacity, it saves in low weight. The USB A cable that wraps around the top of the lantern is the only way to recharge the lantern. Finding a USB A port nearby is no longer guaranteed as USB C ports are the only method of connection on the very newest power sources. USB A is not hard to find yet, but USB C would have been more forward thinking. My bigger concern is what to do in case the cable breaks. Although an integrated cable makes charging more convenient, a simple USB C port might have lended greater durability. The flashlight is excellent at the expense of the area light being harsh. The power bank output is a nice bonus feature despite the lack of USB C charging for lantern itself. The double hooks are smart, but the lantern retracting from pushing on the power button counters that. This is a very usable product, but it could have been made better.

Awesome lantern. Love the compactness of the unit and the multiple options for hanging and securing the light. First, the hooks are good to hang inside the tent. Secondly, The magnetic backing is good if to use it when working in the car or just sticking it to the car while at campsite. Bonus is that it has usb charging port.Only concern I have is that it’s rechargeable through the built in cable. I can see this being problematic if the cable is destroyed somehow. Would have preferred to see a connector that can be connected to an external cable. Not a deal breaker but something to be mindful. Other than that, unit has a rubberized exterior that is comfortable and rugged.
