I may change my review later. The product description suggests that inlet and the outlet are the same. But my NPT to PEX adapter goes on the outlet but not the inlet. 1/2 a turn and it stops. Going to store to try different adapters.

These are great while they’re working but this is the second one that has the metal fail after a few weeks of working. This is outside on an hand washing station and it’s possible that there is water inside that freezes, but this is kept off when not being used so there should be minimal water inside. Both of them failed because the metal on the left side of the unit cracked so when I turn the water on it, squirts out the side. These might be fine if they’re kept inside and don’t ever get exposed to low temperatures, but they are completely not working for me.

I like the shape of the product overall; however, when I went to a plumbing store to get fittings to attach it to my piping / tubing, the 1/2" fitting would only screw onto one of the threaded male ports. The threads were damaged from the factory, not having the same contour/shape. I thought of using a thread die to recut the threads, but I'm going to instead force a female brass fitting with a pipe wrench and then glue with epoxy to stop any leaks from poor thread quality. It is for outdoor use, so if it ends up leaking, it won't be a big problem. But I think I can make it not leak by putting the epoxy on but of course I'll never be able to remove the hose fitting once I apply the epoxy glue. I know I could have returned the item but I didn't want to lose a bunch of time waiting for a replacement one to be sent to me.

Needed to convert a utility sink to hands free operation and this worked great. Low cost and works great. No complaints so far.
