They were a medium sturdiness. Worked perfectly for finger foods at our party. The color was great.

Sturdy in comparison to non-coated paper plates, I think the coating gives it a little more regidity.This is a better than average paper plate.

The design on the plates is very cheerful and bright. The black background and gold lettering looks stylish. The plates are leak resistant. So these should make good party plates, with a couple of cautions. The first one is a general caution - these plates are very thin and lightweight. So they will work well with light foods, like a slice of cake or some cookies. I wouldn't try them with heavier foods though or with heaping meals. The other caution is for those concerned about the environment. The gold standard for disposable plates these days is compostable. Given the ink used on these plates and their leak resistant coating, I strongly suspect that they are not compostable. That will be of concern to some folks but not others. For what they are marketed as though - party plates - these should serve just fine with those two cautions in mind.
