This filter kit is for one of the ubiquitous Nissan/JATCO CVT transmissions, the RE0F11A/JF015E/CVT 7 found in the smaller set of cars such as the Cube, Juke, Versa, Versa Note, Note, Sentra and a few other manufacturers such as Suzuki (Swift) and Chevrolet (Spark). Other models apply, but this review will not cover an exhaustive list.I say "ubiquitous" because CVTs and Nissan's in particular, have gotten a bad rap for reliability (and practically everything else actually) even though they are praised for fuel efficiency. But one of the major reasons for this is that Nissan (and other CVT manufacturers) made the mistake of not recommending transmission fluid changes for these and many other transmission types. CVTs in particular have proven to not just require fluid changes, but FREQUENT fluid changes - the total opposite of what we were told. Even so, in the early days, fluid changes would have been expensive possible, but also the kits to change filters were sadly not widely available. Nissan fluids were hard to find and expensive. But now that the aftermarket has stepped in fluids and kits are now widely available and are cheap enough that we can do the frequent changes necessary to keep the transmissions running correctly. Most mechanics will tell you to change the CVT fluid every 30,000 miles (50,000 km). I do mine more frequently at about 15,000 miles (25,000 km).The price on this kit is amazing. At this price you get two filters (one "internal" and one "external") and the two required o-rings as well as a rubber transmission pan gasket. Note that these transmissions don't generally come with a gaskets as they are fitted with RTV sealant from the factory. The rubber gasket makes it easier for us who might be working on our cars in our driveways and would rather button the thing up as quickly as possible so we can go watch the game.I have this installed in my 2013 Nissan Note DIG-S. No, I didn't install it myself, but had my mechanic do the job. It's easy enough for me to do, but I just don't have a driveway (I don't watch Sunday games either LOL) or the time. My mechanic is the kind of person who gives me an earful when I hand him parts that he does not approve of and he came back with no comment, meaning that things were straight forward. The transmission continues to impress me as the smoothest I've ever encountered of all the 10 cars I've owned. It is the only CVT in the list.Endorsed and recommended.
