Hi I'm a 78 year old man, so not a techi guy. I wanted to upgrade my 100 disk CD player to something with fewer moving parts cause the CD player is already about 20 years old. Listen to it almost every day in my workshop and still plays good BUT you know. So really didn't know how to go. Didn't want to change the amplifier and speaker system to BT, just the player. This little guy did it for about a 20 dollar bill and couldn't be much happier. I put 51 albums of music on 1 flashdrive today and to my surprise it all worked great. It even shuffles the tracks randomly which I'm use to with the CD player. Sounds just as good and got a FM radio as a bonus. The radio picks up my favorite oldies stations better than my Sherwood 400 dollar amp. Ya it's old like me too. I wasn't sure it came with the audio adapter cord from the mini phono plug to audio in jacks of my old amp but it did. It also came with a couple other cords with mini plugs on them and a standard USB plug to min USB adapter cord. It did come with a real instruction booklet which helped me get it cooking. The remote buttons were a little tricky at first. The time you depress them determines what some of them do and it has an audible voice to help confirm some of you commands. All in all pretty good for 20 bucks I think. Good listening folks.

Use this thing to listen to mp3s on a USB drive through an old basement stereo. Also use the bluetooth function to listen to ABC Jazz (A as in Australian) internet radio via my tablet through the stereo. ABC Jazz is 24/7, free, and you get to listen to that nice accent of those down under. Give it a try! Yes I know US has the accent not them. Instructions are a bit lacking, but the buttons on the remote resolve basic issues. Radio feature is pretty much useless but the Onkyo does that well enough on its own. Hope gadget lasts. But for the instructions would have rated a 5 across the board. One additional note is that the instructions seem to indicate that the USB sticks should be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32 systems. Current windows computers only format to xFAT or NTFS, so you will have to find an appropriate piece of software to format. Also find same concept in place, though not explained, in car audio systems.

Excelente producto, muy funcional, la verdad lo recomiendo ampliamente, reproduce musica con mucha fidelidad, fácil de usar, pude reactivar un estéreo que no tiene la función para USB y me funciona de maravilla. Gracias.

I got this for one thing only, so I can't address how well, or even if, it works for other functions. My beloved preamplifier was designed and built around the time Columbus discovered the New World. But the sound can't be beat, and it has the sweetest phono pre-preamp I've ever heard. As a concession to modernity, it does have two inputs for those new-fangled CD players. Remote? What's that?My CD player is venerable as well: it's a Proton unit from the late 1980's. It knows nothing about .MP3 files: .WAV or nothing. Again, remote? What's that? For parties, I had been burning CDs in .WAV format. But changing CDs every hour or so gets old, not to mention erratic as the evening's festivities progress.Enter this Xrong-brand device. Now I can load 30+ hours of music, even in .WAV files, onto a 16-gig thumb drive. And it has a display so I or guests know what track is playing. And now I have some remote functions! The "manual" is in Chingrish. Baffling Chingrish. It isn't bad enough to be unintentionally hilarious, though. In addition to the device, the box had all the cables I needed. You do need a USB power source, but USB hubs are inexpensive: search Amazon for "powered USB hubs" in Electronics. Mine was less than $20.The sound is okay, at least for my purposes. I compared this device's D to A converter with the one in my Proton relic. My CD player is audibly better, but this unit is fine for background music.UPDATE: The D to A converter is quite a bit better than the one in my smart TV!Warmly recommended.
