I didn't think much of this line. It is kinda stiff and not very flexible.

Have two of these reels. One on my euro nymph rod and this newer on my fiberglass dry fly rod. Lightweight, good drag and exceptional value for the money. Don’t need an expensive reel, just a functional one. You won’t regret purchasing this reel.

Love the drag system on this reel for a decent price. Caught my personal best brook trout (23") with it. Handles big fish with ease!

Came in a box. It's really lightGonna use on my switch rod.The brake and clutch system work well. It's a hard plastic. So I would recommend not leaving it in your trunk during summer. Line/tippet does slip off the reel. But almost all reels do that( except for high end. Better tolerances). You should know how to fix that problem fast anyway. Open reel and set line back the way it was, and your fishing again.Tolerances should be tighter. Besides that reel itself is nice. Inexpensive and name brand. Plastic is sturdy. Shooting line and tugging seems ok. The line fell off a few times in the beginning. But after a while you notice and fix your grip. Brake is strong. And palm retrieve,is done by rolling on your palm to fingers. since it has no momentum as metal ones do.There is more emphasis on the rod. Your pushing the rod more and it travels farther. Since the top is loaded. Recoil is on top to balance is gone. There is a weight trade-off.I would recommend this reel as a early seasoned angler. Whom is not ready to go buy an expensive rod or reel. The brake and tension setting are top notch. From almost free spin to hard( feel over 9lbs it test later). Classic red grip. Plastic is matte finish. And looks as if it could be dinged lightly. And not warp, unlike aluminum ones can.I'll post some pics soon. And review further. been busy. Just won a bamboo rod and been putting a reel and line to match it.
