I opened this up to inspect the build quality and specs.The voltage is 18 volts nominal, and 21 volts peak, which is the correct range.And the amperage seems to be in the correct range as well, ensuring a long battery life.This is a fit for my Porter Cable 20 volt tools and charger.This should fit most Black and Decker 20 volt tools as well. The only difference between them is whether the plastic tab is on the left or right, which may need to be filed down. This is a common fix, there are plenty of online videos about it.The build quality isn't quite up to par compared to OEM - looking inside, I would have made some different design choices. But I'm not going to nit pick too much, I still think this is the best overall bang for your buck.My only complaint is that is there is no battery indicator light. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I got this for my Porter Cable power tools but found something extra. Many hobbyists know that Porter Cable and Black and Decker has almost the same identical batteries. This is the same reason I carry both of them. The only difference is the position of the notches at the contact point on the batteries. This item can be used for both these tools because it has both notches on it. Great alternative battery for my all my power tools.

This replacement battery works great in my drills but I thought I should give it more of a test so I used it in my porter cable reciprocating saw. I use that saw mainly to cut down small trees and prune other trees. I use a carbide pruning blade for cutting and it the tree is under 3 inches or so in diameter I cut below the dirt so I don't hit the stump with a mower. I have about ten acres and trees pop up all over every season. Nice looking quality battery as well as performance.

Slightly darker red than the original name brand product but other than that, it's a good replacement. It charges with he original PC charger and operates as it should. It's ever so slightly tighter fitting into the power tools than the original battery.

If you own the Porter Cable 20V cordless tools (or the Black & Decker 20V tools) this battery will work great. If you have several of them, and are using a few for a project, it is nice to keep a battery in each one. That way, you don't have to swap batteries between tools. Or maybe you are using a high draw tool, like the grinder or circular saw, and need more power to finish the job. Whatever the reason, with this extra battery you can either keep going or keep more tools powered at once. It is made really well out of strong plastic. Overcurrent, over charge, over temp and all other protections built in. Fits well on the tools. Seems to last as long as the OEM standard battery. Fits all Porter Cable and Black & Decker OEM chargers or slide on battery chargers. It is an economical way to add more batteries to your collection.
