I finally got around to installing this. Technically it works but does not actually have the amperage to turn the light on or turn on the fan, so it's absolutely worthless. For those with an electrical background... once installed neither the fan nor light worked. There was definitely 120 volts leaving the receiver but nothing worked. Upon further testing once a load was applied the voltage dropped to zero. Further testing revealed less than 0.1 amps. I'm way past the window for returns so I'm stuck with throwing it away.

Our son-in-law is an electrician so he installed for us in just a matter of a few minutes and it works wonderfully not say anything about the money it saved us because we didn't have to buy a new ceiling fan.

Works just fine but I wish I could dim the light more like my old ceiling fan. I would recommend the product.

This wireless fan controller is easy to setup and use. Each wire is labeled and the instruction manual shows how to wire the conteoller to various ceiling fan wire types. A click sound is heard whenever pressing a button, this let's you know the conteoller is working. If you hear the click but the fan doesn't respond, then check your wiring. The remote isn't complicated, simple buttons to understand and as a bonus batteries are included.
