Whilst digital shock pumps can be as inaccurate as an analogue one, the analogue ones are difficult to get an accurate pressure into the fork/sus - for example. RockShox state 72psi for my front forks - that is almost impossible with analogue. Whish I had made the move to digital a long time ago!

The Rockshox HP digital shock pump has nice quality, is lightweight, and most important of all accurate. After using analog shock pump for the last 6 years and playing the guessing game with small gauges and needles, I decided to upgrade to a digital unit. Not only is digital much, much easier to get the pressure right, but the design of the Rockshox pump requires less effort to use once you start getting into the higher pressure ranges. Most of the analog shock pumps I've used get progressively harder and harder to pump when the air pressure rises, but not the Rockshox one - one pump at 10-psi feels the same as one pump at 150-psi. Seeing the digital gauge show air pressure while you pump is also useful in telling you if you have the hose attached correctly. The digital gauge seems to be very accurate (based on checking and comparing values with my Quarq Shockwiz). All of the above meant that this became my go-to shock pump; my last pump was an SKS analog unit, and while the SKS is still good (I keep it in my truck for emergencies), I'd have to say that the Rockshox HP digital pump is so much better based on convenience, ease of use, and accuracy.A note on why I chose this over the Giyo/Venzo version: I did read the reviews on similar looking non-Rockshox branded digital shock pumps, with most saying that they were "the same as Rockshox/Fox but at a lower price". That's nice if all you care about is how much you spend up front, but i nthe long run I decided to go with the branded Rockshox version for a little more money, because it comes with the Rockshox 2-year warranty. I've had more than a few analog non-branded shock pumps before, and even if they were cheaper, they were basically disposable - once they broke, all I could do is throw them away andspend cash again for a new one. I expect this Rockshox HP shock pump to last a very long time, but if for some reason something goes wrong in the next 2 years at least I have piece of mind knowing that the extra $15 I spent o nthis branded version means I can go to Rockshox for support/service.
