This was a great challenge. Excellent instructions… Take your time to get it right!Order the batteries and a magnet before you begin assembly.Beautiful final product! Very durable. Large display model.I estimate approximately 18hrs total build.

This model is a thing of beauty. After assembling the scorpion and wasp, I thought I'd tackle this one. It took three weeks to complete, a couple hours a night. Putting it together was very fun and I felt the instructors were more clear than the wasp, and about the same as the scorpion. The colors are beautiful and clear. He stands fairly tall and rather long, taking up a lot of space on my shelf. He's easy to see from across the room. I separately bought the "magic wand" that you can assemble and the magnets in the wand make his eyes, chest, and thorax light up. Cannot recommend this guy enough. And the size, heft, and fun easily justify the higher price of this model versus the others. He will tower over them.

Great model very challenging some of the bolts are so small a little difficult to assemble some parts and missing the random bolt but other then that great loved it

There really needs to be an option to contact the seller and request replacement parts. I really don't want to return the entire thing, that I've already completed over halfway, just because of one single screw not being machined correctly, and missing threads.But of course, I have no choice but to return it. Ridiculous.The same thing happened to me with the Sabertooth Tiger, where a tooth wasn't threaded (I'm not positive it came from this exact seller though, but most likely the same manufacturer) and by the time I came across the issue, it was too late to refund. Ugh.

This was a great deal of fun to build. The parts are very clearly labelled and packaged in such a way as to make selecting the correct ones very easy. Where more detail is important, it is included and emphasised.I found that it needed some patience because of the number of parts and if you don't have that patience, then don't buy it for yourself. I would also not buy this for a child, late teens and up would be perfect. I liked that the tools are included.I want another similar model to build, but I guess I'll have to wait for the next opportunity to receive such a gift.
