This is a well-built piece of equipment that makes it easy to shoot vertically on a gimbal that doesn't allow for easy vertical mode. The mount is solid, the screws turn easily and feel like decent quality hardware, and the mount is marked clearly for balancing. The only drawback, and I won't subtract a star for this, is that it puts the camera sideways (of course) which causes potential loosening of the mount with a large lens. This is probably a pretty specific issue but one which I want to make people aware of. I used the device with a Canon R6ii and a couple of lenses. The camera was mounted to a Smallrig Quick Release adapter so I can use my Peak Design Capture mounts with the mount. With smaller lenses like the nice little 50mm 1.8 everything was great. However, when I used this vertical mount with a larger lens (a 15-35 2.8 L) it caused enough torque on the mount that the PD plate started to loosen. Perhaps I hadn't tightened it enough, but that PD plate has held on for a thousand or more photos over the past month, so I don't think it was loose before I mounted it on this vertical mount. So, bottom line is that if you're going to use this mount, be aware that the way it's situated on the mount may cause your camera to loosen from the mounting plate when using larger lenses. Otherwise, it's a solid piece of kit.

At this point, I feel like an accessory like this should come standard with all DJI gimbals. Since it's not, I figured I'd test this out on my DJI RS3 Pro. It connects quickly and securely, and so far has been a life saver when trying to capture stable moving vertical footage! Until they make their gimbals do this in some other way, I'll definitely be using this mount.

The quality of this mount is excellent. It is a bit easier to have a mount like this for vertical shooting than a ball head, which requires adjustments to get your camera flush against the vertical axis. I think my only issue is that I had to get a relatively wide quick release plate, as this mount is really wide and smaller plates won't fit.

Very nicely madeI needed a mount like this for my astrophotography rig. Unfortunately the mount will not fit the rail for my camera. One of the photos in the ad made it look as though the mount will pivot. It will not pivot unfortunately. The build quality appears to be quite good and robust. Unfortunately it can’t be used without modifications to fit my gear. It would be nice if the manufacturer would have stated the sizes of the clamps.I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give this mount my Big-Foot “Stomp” of approval and 4 stars
