I use these to store clean/ready to eat fruit. Perfect for what I need them to do and keeps the fruit fresh/from spoiling.

Never would have believed it but it really does work. DONT wash lettuce. Put paper towel in bottom then lettuce/peppers/celery in and paper towels on top. Wash when ready to use.

This container does a great job keeping your fruits and vegetables fresh for longer. I ordered two more.

I bought this to keep store bought salad mix fresh since those won't seal proper. It's a bit on the small side if you're buying the large salad mixes. Works as advertised!

So, yeah, there's no bottom tray anymore. And, keep in mind that the top few 'cups' here are literally in the lid. I tend to buy a lot of spinach at once, so, even though it's cheating, I line this thing with paper towels to help absorb the moisture. I think you need to fill this quite a bit less otherwise, to maximize airflow and keep condensation from building up. Protip, when you load this thing, do take the time to go through the leaves somewhat and pick out the really wet ones that are starting to spoil.Something I DO like about this, even though I'm not completely sold on the freshness deal, is that it is pretty darn sturdy. I can put other containers on top and not worry about it. The size is pretty good. At first I was thrown because I was expecting something bigger, despite reading the cup size and knowing the rough dimensions. I can say this much, if you're trying to picture this: I get the16 oz, giant honkin' containers of baby spinach. Not all of that spinach is going to fit in this, so I split it up. I can usually fit about 2/3rds to 3/4ths in here, depending. Like I said, I line the bottom and sides with paper towels, but also put one on top and usually lay one in the middle. It really helps, and it's easier to do when you can load the spinach into this thing.I would guess this probably works best with 8 oz or less of spinach. Heads up.
