These are sturdy and well made but the mechanism for lowering the wheels is absurdly difficult to use. You have to lay down on the floor to read the up/down label on a little switch and then “wiggle” a toggle back and forth. The toggle is actually a screw that you can only access through a little slot, so you have to veeeeery slowly unscrew it in eighth of a turn increments, which takes probably 20-30 “wiggles” to get the wheels high enough to be stabile or low enough to roll. Needs a redesign with a foot operated kick lever.

In my search for casters for my new outdoor grill table I didn’t even know these existed. They are perfect because they are leveling legs and casters when needed. Very high quality.

The foot pad is plastic. I placed the wheels on a larger air compressor. Threaded stem was the right length for attaching to the feet of the tank

These leveling casters work very well on my workbench when I substituted them for the original casters that came with the workbench. These casters were quickly and easily swapped out on my workbench by installing the included stud into the caster and then threading the stud into the workbench leg's nut. The original casters were the traditional 3" casters with levers used to lock them in place so my workbench doesn't roll when I want it to stay in place. Unfortunately, those locking levers are rather large and posed a tripping hazard whenever I walked by the workbench.Swapping casters eliminated this hazard because they lower a stabilizing, rubber foot which raises the wheel away from the floor instead of using a locking lever. This prevents the wheel from engaging.I really liked that I could now walk around my workbench without fear of tripping or stubbing my toe/foot on the caster locking levers. The one thing to keep in mind with these casters is that the wheels are 2" wheels. My previous caster set had 3" wheels. The difference is that larger wheels smooth out any irregularities or cracks on a floor since they can just roll right over the crack. The smaller 2" casters transmit these irregularities as bumps or jolts more readily to the workbench. So if you don't have a smooth floor for the furniture you put these casters on, be prepared to feel these when moving your furniture.

I am close to maxing out the capacity, my machine weights 2000lbs, so read with that in mind. The ratchet mechanism doesn't seem to be catching when trying to lift the machine, the only solution is to have someone lift the side of the machine with a crowbar while I ratchet it to position, but this makes the process much more time consuming and tedious, and turns a 1 person job into a 2 person job. I think that the ratchet design should be changed, maybe a stronger sprint on the paw mechanism (i maxed this adjustment out and still doesn't work).Or these should be derated to something like 1000lbs.I bought these because these were the only reasonably priced ones with a stem, ratchet, and supported >2000lbs. But ultimately i would have gone with just the normal hand threaded ones, because at least those can usually work with a 1/2" wrench on the screw knob to lift the load, albeit in a slow way.Steer clear if you need to lift heavy loads.
