This is the second one of these that I purchased because I LIKED the first one so much. It has been a great option to send to camp with my kid and I got another for kid #2. This one broke immediately. I got it loaded up with songs and sent her off to camp. It will not hold a charge at all and while it will turn on when plugged in -- it will not play anything or work at all when not plugged in. WORST OF ALL -- I sent a warrenty request to the company and did not even get an email confirmation let alone any response -- it has been more than a month since I tried to contact them.DO NOT BUY THIS.

***EDIT: seller contacted me and sent a replacement. In fact, they sent the original style that I had not initially received which shows they care about customer satisfaction. Communication with the seller on getting the issue resolved was quick and consistent. Increasing the rating from one star to three for now just based on the great customer service. If the new player works for an extended period of time, I'll update again. Great interaction with the seller, hoping the products lives up to the standards of their customer service*** Bought this for my 7 year old daughter. I specifically chose this because of the simple design, lack of full screen and games/camera, ect. and the full buttons versus the touch screen that most have. I wanted something simpler and more rugged than the other mp3 players out there. She LOVED it. For the three days it worked. Had decent sound quality for the size, was easy to navigate, she had a blast with it. It completely died after three days and has not uttered a sound or powered on since. Find something else.FYI, this was the second mp3 player I bought from this seller. The first never arrived. In fact, it's still pending and says "It's running late" after two months since purchase date. The seller never bothered to drop it off for shipping, just created a label or whatever so it would show as shipped by Amazon but never took it to the shipper. Didn't cancel the order, didn't update with details, just never shipped and I had to wait the Amazon mandated period of time to request a refund.

Cute, well thought out features and quality build. Comes with a USBC cable for charging and transferring files. Ear buds are nice, even get different sizes if needed. Menu system is pretty intuitive.My grandkids, preschool 4 year old and first grader will need some help from adults to load music or audiobooks but once it's loaded, they'll be able to use the controls to listen and play their books and songs. Getting books from the library and loading them was a breeze, the kids are going to love the books I loaded! I just transferred the books to the local storage rather than the micro SD card. One less thing for the kids to remember to select when playing their media.Pros;* The soft "ears" and zoo animals on the back. There's also a Panda version for the bigger kids.* Perfect size for small hands, feels very nice in your hand.* USBC rather than micro USB* Bluetooth 5.0 to connect to wireless headphones if you want (or large speaker)* Voice recording is really nice - record messages for the kids to read at school or on the bus!* Variable speed playback for audiobooks (or songs) is wonderful. Increase speed up to 8 steps for those plodding audiobook narrations!* Easy to find power, volume down, up on the right side of the player* One button power off, just push the button, don't have to hold it* The usual back, play/stop and forward buttons* Headphone jack at top* Easy to set an alarm and have it play a book or song when the alarm goes off. Can even set the alarm for every day of the week* Beautiful alarm clock icon flashes when the alarm goes off!* Basic A/C 120 volt charging via the usual USB 5v 1amp output charger. Doesn't come with the player but you probably have many lost chargers buried in your couch anyway* Pedometer, stopwatch, FM radio (if using the earbuds) are nice add-ons* Typical settings options, repeat, shuffle, volume limit and others* Equalizer (preset options like rock, classical, etc. or use "custom" to simply up the bass and/or treble)Cons;* Manual wrong - says only MP3 & WMA files - not true, FLAC files sound wonderful!* Manual wrong - also says up to 64GB micro SD card - 128GB works great.NOTE: Believe the Amazon features and description listed for the player as it's accurate!Questions;* Pedometer weight & height settings are metric and I didn't see any way to change them to imperial.* Looks like it could show a photo as a screensaver but I didn't see any option to add it.* Playlists - can create them by adding songs to a playlist but what can I load playlist files from my computer like m3u files?Great little player for anyone but kids especially! Rivals much more expensive ones too!
