Purchased to listen to Audible audio books in mp3 format to replace a defunct SanDisk player which handled the .aax format without conversion. Unfortunately, no one seens to make a compact player which will play native Audible files anymore. The AGPTek works good as an MP3 player, except that music organizational structure is obscure and not apparent. The manufacturer has a video which explains how to organize, but it is not referenced in the "user manual" nor available from their website. I got it via email from their technical support, which did respond promptly to my query. The confusion comes from the fact that the player does not come with any predefined areas for the different types of media or divisions within a type of media (e.g. different albums). Per the video, it was learned that the user is expected to define their own organizational structure using "Folders". It appears that this is the way to organize by album, genre, or mp3 audio book. Regarding books, one of the types of media that the player can handle is books, in text format. Why anyone would even attempt to read a book on a little bitty screen is beyond me.

For a long time, I've been searching for Sansa Clip replacement. I've been using Sansa Clip from Sansa Clip+, Zip Clip, Sports Clip, and Sports Plus Clip. They haven't made the Sansa Clip series for few years now and you can't find them new anymore.I've purchased the Ruizu Clip (X52) since it looks similar with the size and price. Ruizu has been known to make quality DAP products, so this is what I went with. It's very similar functionally to the Sansa Clip. Sound quality is on par with the Sansa and the interface is not too bad. It is a bit confusing at first since the down and left button serves as previous in different situations, but it's not too bad. Screen is slightly dimmer than the Sansa, but I like how it takes up to 128GB of microSD card. Using the external card is the way to go since you can transfer music much faster than using the cable. The USB-A to USB-C cable that comes with the package seems to be non standard type, so if you're looking to transfer data, you'll need to use the OEM cable. You can probably use any USB-C cable if you're just powering or recharging it.All in all, if you're on the fence about getting Ruizu because you need to fill the void where Sansa Clip left, this might be the next best thing. One annoyance I have is the fact that the up button serves also as a screen lock if you hold it down. When you're scrolling up through your library, it will lock it down instead of scrolling fast through the list. Only way you can scroll up fast is to tap it fast. It's not a deal breaker though. The fonts are clear and easy to navigate. It does chop some long title names while scrolling through, but again, this is a minor problem. If you're looking for a small DAP that doesn't weigh down your pocket, this is simple enough and affordable enough unit that you might forget about the drawbacks on it.

Was really struggling to find a replacement for my Sansa Clip+ because I found it cumbersome to have wired headphones all the time and an outdated USB cable to charge. It was my favorite mp3 player, but alas, times have changed and I got used to bluetooth and USB-C cables.I got this one because it's the most similar form factor the Clip+ and have had my low expectations met. It plays the music on my SD card and connects to my AirPods Pro 2s and to the adaptor I have in my car's aux port. Connection is solid. No battery or charging issues so far. However, there are some aspects of this player that I don't love, but can live with:1. 4001 song limit. From the "Music" tab, you can only access 4001 songs to play on shuffle or search through. I can go to the "Folder" view and see all my music as a directory and can play from it. Annoying, but not a dealbreaker for me.2. Non-editable interface. I'd love to just have "Music", "Settings", "Bluetooth". But I have to click through Video, FM radio, Pedometer, Recordings, Ebook, Pictures, Tools, Settings, etc.3. Unnecessary features. Ebooks on this thing is crazy. Don't do it, you'll mess up your eyes. Pedometer, sure maybe? There's a Calendar, Stopwatch, and Alarm clock under tools - all of which seem like useless filler. Again, if I could hide these in the menu, that'd be fine with me.4. Poor resolution with no alternative. Album art looks realllllly bad on this small screen. Would prefer the interface to allow me to only display text.I think many of my issues could be solved with Rockbox, but as far as I know, no port exists for this device.Stock - It's pretty good!

Product is technically serviceable. It plays music that is transferred through the cable. However, it had trouble connecting to the PC through the suppled USB-C cable, but eventually I was able to get it to connect.Products bluetooth DOES NOT connect to computer, computer does detect it, but returns a "driver error" when attempting to configure it. Thus, the bluetooth cannot be used to connect to the PC.Also, there is a firmware update utility that you can download, to try and get the unit to work properly. But guess what? The firmware updater cannot update the unit, and does not give a reason why, the process simply concludes in a failed update. Luckily this failed updating process did not brick the unit.I spent hours of time trying to get this updater and bluetooth to work, and it just cannot be updated, and the bluetooth simply does not function.Due to the failure of multiple features on this product, and the hours of time wasted trying to find a solution, and the company not responding to my email for assistance, I give this product 1 star.
