Everything was easy except the cabinets. It was so hard to put open after you put it on. We had no choice but to break it.

Update: re-ordered a new set (seller:Amazon) which has 18 piece set. Chose sold by Amazon to get 18 piece set.

I used this product to try to baby proof my house for when my nephew and niece who are 1.5 years old come over to my house. The safety kit works very well as it was even hard for me to open once the pieces were set in place. For someone who does not have kids yet, this safety kit helped me learn of all the possible dangers that a house can have and how important it is for safety for little ones. The pieces that go on the stove are an example of something I wouldn't have even thought about baby proofing if it wasn't for this kit coming with them. So thankful! The parts are well made and simple to install. I will need more pieces though so that I can add more protection to my kitchen cabinets. This is a great starter kit to make you start thinking of potential hazardous places. I think this would be a great gift for a baby shower as I normally don't see it on registries but this would be great, especially for new parents.

First impressions of this safety kit is that it def has come in handy. Our 3 yo isn't exactly as adventurous as most kids but has his times of curiosity where he finds himself getting into different cabinets and things he shouldn't. I primarily used the cabinet locks, the refrigerator lock, and the wall plugs from this kit. I placed the cabinet locks on the cabinets either I know have cleaning products in it or the ones he finds himself going in. As you can see from the pics the cabinet ones thou easy to install leave a gap. I don't know if its just mine but to me it draws attention to itself he isn't able to get in it but still its just the gap that bothers me so wish it was a little more discreet. The refrigerator lock i used on our entertainment center because the drawer lock wasn't going to work with it and that has worked like a charm I thought to myself I wish this was a darker color and thought of spray painting it so it doesn't stand out but really I don't see our son messing with it so thats a plus. I used the wall plugs on different parts of the house I see him in more frequently and that he could mess with and those have also worked like a charm. So I have to say so far so good overall this kit is def living up to expectations and I am very happy with that.

What you get are 4 stove knob covers, 8 electrical outlet plugs, 4 cabinet and drawer latches, 1 cabinet slide lock, and 1 appliance lock. I found everything easy to install and use even with the Safety 1st items applied.
