This collar is easy to adjust. It is the right thickness & weight for my large dog & it looks really good on him. Some collars are too thick & make bis hair bunch up but not this one. It almost disappears because it lays flat as it should. My dog is comfortable & seems to want it back on when i have taken. It off, so that says a lot.

Finally found a collar by dog can't get out of! I went thru four buckle-type collars on my Lab mix before I was encouraged to rely a Martingale collar. I was hesitant because this is made of nylon just like the others were, but this one will. not. come. off. Definitely recommend!

I like the over all design and concept of the martingale collars. However, we purchased a blue one just like this one shown in picture in late March. Today, three months later it has frayed at the seam on the loop that holds the tags where it connects to the thicker nylon. It looked sturdy, so we didn't expect any such problems as this. Luckily, my husband noticed it this morning. I walk our 45 lb lab mix daily who pulls quite hard at times whille on walks. Even so, it should've held up longer than three months. It very easily could've broken on our walk today which could have been a disaster for me.

It's OK. Why only 3 stars? The collar has a tendency of shifting out of its fixed size. Often, I have to re-adjust it or else my dog will slip right out of it. Yes, I bought the right size collar.

I had tried regular collars and harnesses, but my furry dog was still able to slip out and run away. The martingale collar so far is able to keep the dog from slipping out, because the collar tightens when the dog pulls to try to back out of the collar. I’m totally satisfied with it and highly recommend it.
