I bought the Y2K Grunge Jewelry Set, which includes 6 necklaces and earrings, for my daughter, and it's been a hit! I was amazed at the quality and details in this jewelry when I opened it. Every piece was adorable. The little bats, the gothic details. It is amazing.

I received all the jewelry seen in the product images, and I think it’s nice that most of the earring and necklaces can be paired as matching sets for anyone who likes to do that kind of thing. Still, each of these was individually packaged, so I experienced no tangling whatsoever upon opening them. For cheap jewelry like this, I think it’s wise to have some jewelry pliers handy so that you can check for loose linkages, tightening any that look like they could use it, which is what I did with all of these.The cross necklace looks good. The charm is on the thin side, but it still feels relatively durable. Still, I don’t think it would be too hard to bend it by hand, so go easy on it. The cross charm is about the length of my petite-handed pinky finger. Unfortunately, it cannot be removed from the necklace chain, which length-wise, places the charm in the center of my sternum.The cross earring have the exact same charm as the necklace. They’re the same size and everything. Though these are equally as durable, I’d worry less about them, as earrings are more out of the way of taking any kind of damage. These are lightweight, so they tug on my earlobes very little.The black-heart-with-bat-wings necklace feels slightly thicker and slightly more durable than the cross necklace. I think the little horns on the top of the heart are super cute. Length-wise, it also falls onto the center of my sternum. I found one random linkage dangling from a proper linkage on the necklace chain, so I removed it with my jewelry pliers.The black-heart-with-bat-wings earrings are the daintiest of the bunch, being small studs that cover a good portion of my earlobes. While all of the dangling earrings come with rubber backs, these come with metal backs. These are incredibly lightweight and should not tilt downward at all.The sword-with-branches necklace has the sword charm being way too thin for its size and shape, making it extremely malleable. If you’re not careful with the sword, I could totally see it bending or even snapping. The sword charm is nearly double the length of the cross charm from earlier. The branches are surprisingly more durable-feeling than the sword, so I suspect they’ll hold up well. On me, the branches sit just a little bit beneath my collar bone, and the very tip of the sword reaches the center of my sternum.The sword earrings, again, have charms that match exactly with the one on the necklace. I suspect the sword necklace was made as thin as it is so that these matching earrings could be lightweight, as for their size, they definitely are. Even though these are out of the way on your ears, because they are so long and thin, I’d still be very careful with them lest they snap.The red-heart necklace is also quite thin, but due to its compact, quarter-sized shape, it feels plenty durable. The tiny daggers along the necklace chain feel surprisingly durable as well. This necklace is shorter than the others I’ve examined so far, lying directly on top of my collar bone with the charm sitting just beneath my suprasternal notch.Yet again, the red heart charms on the earrings match the one on the necklace exactly. I love the addition of the upside-down bats in sleeping position. These earrings are slightly heavier than the sword ones, but they still don’t tug on my earlobes.The triple chain necklace arrived untangled somehow. Later, though, I was able to accidentally get it so incredibly tangled that I’m actually scared to approach it again for now. The black “crystal” is a lightweight plastic and doesn’t look all that convincing, but it has the proper aesthetic, so I’ll give it a pass. The moon charm looks nice and feels durable. The circle charm arrived with all rhinestones (there’s a circle of clear ones surrounding the center black one) being present and properly seated. Length-wise, the circle charm hits the middle of my sternum, the moon hits the bottom of my sternum, and the black crystal hits near the bottom of my rib cage.The star and moon earrings are lightweight and interesting. Note that the star is not fully encircled and is instead cupped by a thinner crescent than the one below it. I think that looks nice. The black stones could be seated better, but they’re not placed atrociously or anything.The bat-and-ankhs, rosary-style necklace feels very rosary-like, as the beads spin freely. All of the charms feel durable. This is my favorite necklace of the whole set, as I think it looks the most striking. Length-wise, the bat falls at the bottom of my sternum, and the larger ankh falls near the bottom of my ribs with the tip of it nearly reaching my belly button.Finally, the bat earrings are also my favorite earrings of the whole set. They just look a little more refined than most of the others, and I think their overall design is creative. They also seem a tad bit heavier than any of the others. While still fairly lightweight for their size, I wouldn’t make a habit of wearing them daily if you don’t want to encourage saggy earlobes. Like on one of the necklaces earlier, I found a random linkage that had grabbed onto one of the ones intended to be there, so I removed it.Overall, I think this is a very nice set of goth jewelry for quite a low price. It would take much more effort to collect jewelry for all of these themes individually, so it’s nice to get them all knocked out at once. I found very few construction errors, all of which were easy to fix, and while the durability of these is not excellent, it keeps them lightweight, so just treat them lovingly, and they should be fine.

Most arrived broken or missing parts. Easily remedied using safety pins. However most broke with one use and completely fell apart. Cute for the some I could fix.
