I wanted a pump with a pressure gauge so this seemed like a great choice based on other reviews. It works and is quick to pump a tire. The only issue I have is with the valve head connector. In order for it to work on the presta valve, the valve almost needs to be completely covered. I did not attach it all the way the first time using it and the pump just started getting back pressure and would not fill the tire. Also the lock lever is a bit tight.

Husband had only used portable bike pumps until he purchased this one, so he was very impressed by how easy, fast, and ergonomic this was to use. He’s only gotten to use it once so far — then was involved in a hit-and-run while biking home on his perfectly inflated tires. Be safe out there, bikers!

It's honestly amazing how little air comes through with each pump. You're definitely fighting against the pump itself first and then whatever you're pumping second. It's also hard to tell your PSI on the gauge. I guess they ran out of budget to type numbers.

I'm over 180 lbs (and strong!), and I have to put my weight onto the handle to pump a hybrid bike tire to 80 psi. My son who's only 140 lbs and a senior in high school can't do it.I know how to use a bike pump, so I wondered if maybe the high volume of air for each pump is the reason it's so difficult. The few reviews that mention this seem to agree, but, unfortunately, I did not see them before purchasing. My last pump lasted about a decade, and while this one feels like it could also last that long (it does seem well made), I can't take it any more - I'm going to eat the cost and buy something usable.I should add that because of the large changes in pressure for each pump (and not always in the upward direction, strangely), I bought a separate gauge to check my tire pressure to make sure I wasn't going to make it burst. The Schwinn gauge and the secondary gauge matched closely enough that I trust the Schwinn gauge.

I returned my first pump to Amazon because it was very small and unstable and the hose was short and the gauge hard to read. The pictures are always deceptive, so I used a ruler when I reordered this Schwinn. THIS pump is closer to what I remembered a bicycle pump to be: tall, long hose, quick to complete the job. This one is more stable do to a triangular base that is 12in wide. The ONLY missing part for me was I wanted to be able to lock the pump handle so that I could pick it up and move it using the handle. Unfortunately, the handle elongates if I try that. Overall, I like the "full-size" dimensions and ease of use and will keep this one.
