I used this rod on my bass boat trailer. The back roller. It woks fine.

Had to drill and put pins in the ends. One of the caps fell off the first trip.

Shipped quick, good price. We will see how the zinc coating holds up. The included PAL nuts (end caps) are worthless. 2 good PAL nuts are $4 for two at Tractor Supply. Just include that in your decision to buy these or not. Fit was fine. Time will tell if material is good enough. These are not stainless so hoping for 5 years or so.

I saw a warning that many have returned this product. Many comment on the caps falling off. I took this to heart and really used my hammer to bang those caps on. I put a piece of wood on the opposite side to hold it in place and banged away. So far, It has stayed in place. Just the other day I banged the ends again with my hammer just to make sure.

Past reviews are right and on the money , don't waste your money . Not only are the pal nuts that they include faulty but the 5/8 shaft a little bit oversized as I had to put it through my wire wheel on the grinder before it would even slide into the Attwood roller bracket I used . then after trying to use the pal nuts , one did attach but the second one flattened out and just slid off the shaft . I had to go to tractor supply and get a pair made by hillman . They call them axel cap nuts . A pair was 4 bucks + tax , better product . It's a galvanized metal . Tapped it on with ease and held . Don't waste your money on this seachoice china made crap .
