Haven't used it yet but just wanted to mention it is half an inch thick since the item description neglects this information. Easily cuts to size.

It is slowly bringing down the nitrate levels down some , so that’s a big plus,I couldn’t put it in my filter because it would not fit so had to place it under the gravel and I have tested the water sense and the nitrates have come down, the fish seem to be less stressed also ,

It works great and keeps my water parameters good. It’s easy to cut and big enough for my 75, 36, and 20 gallon tanks.
