Replaced old lock without having to drill new holes. The straight strike plate is the same as the old one, unlike the new corner strike plate which is different from the old corner strike plate and did not fit on my other door.

We've had the same Segal lock for about 45 years and finally the knob broke off. I took careful measurements and searched high and low for the exact size and shape so that no new drilling needed to be done. This model seemed like it fit the bill, so I took a chance and ordered it.I didn't even need the directions, just laid out the new parts, took the old lock apart and installed the new hardware parts in place of the old. I had a few minor snags, but only because whoever installed our original Segal lock did a sloppy job, and I had to apply some putty to a hole he left, plus 2 of the new screws were not wanting to go completely into their designated holes. But again, this was not a fault of the lock, but of the original installation of the old lock.In the end, everything fit and it works just fine. I am very happy to have a new Segal lock in place of the old one, and am relieved that no new drilling had to be done and that it was a relatively smooth swap-out process.
