I originally purchased my Kohler toilet because of its more comfortable height and the good reviews for its performance at relatively low water volumes. I soon began to appreciate its superior cylinder lift flush valve system that is much better than the standard flapper valve used on toilets for years. This washer is the only part needed to maintain leak proof performance. I think that these silicone replacements are probably made from better material and are less costly than the OE washers. You never know for sure, but I think that it will be several years before I need to replace this washer again.

These fit my application and stopped my excessive water usage due to leaks. Check your make and model and style before you order gasket kits so you get the correct parts. These work as described in my case.

They work well to replace the flush valve seal when they get worn out (which they do). Not sure yet if it will last as long as OEM, as they seem thin. But a lot of non-OEM don't last as long as the original, which is why these are less expensive and sold in packs of multiples. We shall see, though.
