As a designer who constantly juggles watercolor, pencil, and ink, the Sennelier Maxi Block (6” x 6”, White) has become an integral part of my daily creative routine.The 100% cotton paper is truly remarkable. It holds up beautifully to watercolors, allowing for smooth blending and vibrant colors. Pencils glide effortlessly, while ink produces crisp lines without bleed-through, even with heavy layering. However, while the texture is great for various mediums, I sometimes wish it had a bit more tooth for charcoal or pastels, as they can feel a bit slippery on the surface.The 6” x 6” format is a joy to carry around. It fits perfectly in my bag, making it easy to grab for spontaneous sketching sessions, whether at a café or during a break at work. However, I occasionally find myself wanting a slightly larger option for more expansive drawings. A size variation could provide more flexibility for different styles.I love how each page invites experimentation, allowing me to mix techniques freely. The paper works well for layering, which encourages creativity. That said, I noticed that when using very wet washes, the pages can buckle slightly. A heavier weight or a more water-resistant option could enhance the experience for those who work heavily with watercolors.The block binding allows for easy access to each page, maintaining the integrity of my work. Its clean, white cover gives it a professional appearance, perfect for client presentations. However, a more textured or patterned cover could add a personal touch and help differentiate my sketchbook in a sea of similar products.In summary, the Sennelier Maxi Block has significantly enhanced my creative process, serving as a reliable partner that inspires me every day. While it excels in many areas, there are opportunities for improvement, such as offering more size options and enhancing the paper’s performance with wet mediums.

Es un excelente papel de esbozos que admite incluso acuarela.

Attention il s'agit d'un bloc de feuilles et non d'un sketchbook comme annoncé. À ce titre, seul l'arrière est cartonné, la couverture est souple et plutot légère, impossible donc de dessiner sur le verso des feuilles sans mettre quelques choses au dessous (je mets un livre + un carnet de croquis) car il n'y a aucune tenue. Les feuilles sont détachables.Il est arrivé avec la tranche de la couverture décollée, je l'ai recollé avec une colle en souris et je l'ai collé a la première feuille également pour que ça tienne mieux.Point de vue qualité on est sur du 90g donc feuilles légères, on voit les dessins du recto au verso, particulièrement si criterium et encrage. Pour les feutres à alcool il faut oublier. Il faut donc soit vraiment s'en servir de carnet de croquis (ce qui est mon cas) soit uniquement en recto.Je mets quand même quatre étoile car le format 32x32 mz plaît beaucoup et que je compte l'utiliser en carnet de croquis aui reste sur mon bureau pour les travaux préparatoires et le nombre de feuilles me permet de voir venir et d'avoir tout au même endroit. Par contre il va falloir être très précautionneux pour pas que les feuilles se détachent.
