We have been using a Virego gravity-fed water filter system. At the time we started using it we did a blind taste test between our municipal water, the filtered water we were buying at the time, and the water filtered through the Virego gravity-fed system. Hands down, without knowing which we were tasting, my wife and I both chose the Virego as the best tasting water. And this is a single filter system. We were impressed.Their 5-filter, Under Sink Ultra-Filtration System is obviously an upgrade and we were keen to install it. In most cases when I look at this type of installation, my first impression is that it’s going to be more a chore than a project; in this case, I was wrong about that. Our installation, that included the faucet Virego provided, was straightforward and relatively simple. In my case, it necessitated drilling two holes, and using a wrench to detach and reattach existing water lines. Virego provides a steel braided water line from the source water to the filter system and quick connectors for the outlet tubing and its connection to the provided faucet.Virego provides a splitter for the main valve so the incoming municipal water can be directed separately to the kitchen faucet and the filtered water faucet; the splitter also incorporates a valve switch so that water directed to the filter system can be shut-off independently, a useful feature when it comes time to change the filters. Virego provides all of the hardware necessary for a simple, straightforward installation. The provided installation instructions are in the form of a diagram. If you’re someone used to doing home projects and are familiar with the various installation hardware, they should suffice. Otherwise, they leave a lot to be desired. Basically, Virego provides a splitter in the form of a three-way ball valve that attaches to the valve at the wall, directing water both to the existing faucet and the inlet of the filter system. The outlet of the filter system is connected to the faucet by plastic tubing included in the kit.The entire filtering system, all five filters, are held in a steel frame that I anchored to the wall under out kitchen sink using screws and anchors provided in the kit. Holes are drilled 6-3/8” apart, install anchors, then screws and hang it. With all of Its slick shiny steel it’s an attractive, high-tech looking system and gives the impression of hygiene. The faucet has a firm shut-off and can be swiveled out of the way, if need be, or repositioned. The base and the handle of the faucet are plastic, leaving something to be desired. It’s easy enough to replace with something of a better quality; but it works fine.Water filtered through Viregos’ Ultra-Filtration System is incomparably better tasting and smelling than the municipal water going into it. Ideally, in my opinion, any company selling water filtering systems should simply provide a specific list, from test results, showing, at the least, what health related pathogens the system removes. For example, when they say that the system will remove contaminants larger than 0.01 um, I don’t happen to know off-hand what contaminants are larger than that. Do you? Hopefully, most of them. Apparently, based on a cursory internet search, filtration of 0.01 um should remove most bacteria and viruses. So, their claim implies that the Ultra-Filter system maintains a high standard of removal, that includes health related contaminants. Nonetheless, no specific claims are made.I’m not sure what a RO system does that Virego’s doesn’t, other than remove TDSs, however I’m not a fan of RO systems due to the amount of water they waste. To compensate, and as extra insurance, I placed an LED UV filter in the line between the filtered water and the faucet of the Virego system that will kill any bacteria and virus that aren’t already filtered out. Each of the five incorporated filters of the system has a different lifespan, all depending on the condition of the source water; the user manual states them, depending on the filter, as lasting from 6 – 24 months. That said, I checked Virego’s Amazon Store page and found no replacement filters listed. I would suggest contacting Virego prior to purchase to make sure replacements are or will be made available.Once installed according to the directions, there were no leaks and more than adequate flow of filtered water from the faucet. Separating the source water into filtered and non-filtered will save wear on the filters, and consequently, they’ll last longer; or at least that’s my logic. Giving Virego the benefit of the doubt, this is a cost effective and easily installed water filtration system that will pay for itself pretty quickly over the cost of purchasing filtered or bottled water.

I got this to replace an already installed system and it was a simple 2, 1/4" tubing swap outs so I didn't need all the included accessories. This does come with all the needed mounting and installation hardware and an included faucet. This filter set does not come with an under counter water storage tank. I have one already so no big deal. The outstanding feature of this filtration system is the flat profile for wall mounting and the sleek stainless steel look. The water pressure gauge works. As far as the filter replacements a quick search on Amazon showed that replacement filters will be easy enough to find at a reasonable cost. The sellers description " The service life of PP filter is 3-6 months, the service life of T33/CTO/RFC filter is 6-12 months, the service life of UF filter is 18-24 months." seems correct and is dependent on the water source purity. The unit itself being stainless steel as opposed to plastic should make this a useable unit for years. The bottom line is the unit installs quickly with the included hardware, has a slim undercounter profile, does not need the undercounter storage tank unless you want to use one and delivers great tasting filtered water with plenty of pressure at the taps faucet.

It took a little YouTube to get the adjustments to work without feeling like we were going to break it but it's a lovely bracelet and fits our daughter's pandora charms perfectly.

I recently added the Virego 0.01μm Ultra Filtration Under Sink Water Filter System to my bar, and overall, it’s been a great addition. The installation process was pretty straightforward and didn’t take much effort, which I appreciated. The build quality is decent—it’s not super premium, but it feels solid enough to last. What really matters is the water quality, and I’ve noticed an improvement right away. The water tastes fresher and seems cleaner, and knowing it filters out 99.99% of chlorine adds that extra layer of confidence. The real-time pressure gauge is a nice touch too. All in all, I’m happy with the system and would recommend it!

As an experienced DIYer, I had no trouble installing the Virego Ultra-Filtration System in my cabin. The setup was straightforward—just a couple of drilled holes and some quick connections, and it was good to go. The system comes with high-quality parts, and the stainless steel design looks sleek. We installed it behind the refrigerator as we had extra space there and ran a line to the fridge (for water and ice) and the sink (water spout). It works wonderfully!Once installed, the water quality blew me away. It’s clean, crisp, and way better than other filtered water we've had at the cabin. Compared to other systems I’ve used, this one is incredibly solid and is built to last. The only minor downside is the plastic faucet, but it’s easily replaceable if we ever want to in the future. All in all, this filtration system is an excellent investment. It’s reliable, improves water quality drastically, and is simple to install for a DIYer. It’ll pay for itself quickly compared to buying and hauling bottled water.
