I'm using these for compost that is brought to town bins for collection. Most important - They are sturdy and don't leak (as long as you don't pour liquids in). Coffee grounds and wet filters are fine, as are cooked leftovers and other wet items.The bags have marked, serrated, tear-off lines between them, but I've been cutting them with scissors to avoid tearing the sealed seam of the next bag on the roll. Perfect size for countertop or small floor bins (the ones that use grocery bags with handles).I've been self-tying the bags shut when not quite full, and the tie is strong enough to use as a handle.don't hesitate to buy these.

We use bags like this in our composting bin that we keep in the kitchen. We ran out of our usual brand, so i wanted to try these. The bag feels more like a plastic garbage bag rather than the soft compostable bags. They do come nicely rolled and even have a sticker with an arrow to show you which way to unroll the next bag. The sticker adhesive also has lasted to keep the roll from coming apart.We tend to fill our compost bin all the way to the top before changing out the bags. They fit into our 3 gallon compost bin well and even have some extra at the top to tie the bag when it's full. So far, each bag has not leaked when transferring to the outside bin.I can't say on how compostable they are, but for the price that I got them at, I will purchase them again.

These are perfect size to use in my small trash can which I use for putting cat litter in. I'm so thankful that they are biodegradable and will disappear over time. I feel confident that I'm doing my part to help save the planet from plastic. Hopefully my cat litter which is also biodegradable disappears over time. Great product.

Im very happy I found these. I use them to throw away my scooped cat litter. It bothered me that I had to use plastic bags. IM trying to be environmentally friendly and the plastic bags I did use were big so there was a lot of waste. These are perfect and sturdy enough to use as my used cat litter is heavy. I also use them for my bathroom wastebasket The price is very fair too so as long as it stays like this I will keep on buying. I wish plastics were a thing of the past and that they only made biodegradable bags. Think about it. We recycle using plastic bags. It makes no sense so I will try to avoid buying plastic with all my purchases!

Our local municipality doesn't offer recycling or food waste composting so we do it ourselves to try and help the environment and get some nice compost for our garden but our little countertop composting bin's interior gets slimy and sticky quite easily and it's a pain to transfer the food scraps to our large outdoor compost tumbler because of it.These bags work great as bin liners. Instead of my normal routine of dumping the kitchen bin into the composter, trying and failing to completely clean out the kitchen bin with the garden hose and dumping the slurry into the outdoor compost and occasionally splashing myself with the nasty mess, I just grab the bag by the edges, give it a spin and tie a knot in it and throw it directly into the outdoor compost with absolutely no mess!Not sure how long they take to break down, will update when my first bag has fully broken down inside my compost tumbler.As other reviews have said the bags are very thin and a little tricky to open but all I had to do was slightly dampen my index finger and thumb and they open right up at the perforated line.The number of bags you get for the price might seem a little on the low side but when used as intended for organic waste they should last you quite some time.
