Bought this for my 1998 F150 since the original was broken and being held in adjustment with tie wraps. Out of the bag this did not quite work. First the plastic threaded shaft was too big for the opening and I had to file the holes bigger with a round file (note that you do not file off the little tab sticking up - that's for alignment onto the shaft. Second the adjuster wheel was such a tight fit that I couldn't get it to turn once in place, so again stock was filed down for a better fit. With those changes, installation was ezpz. No more janky tie wraps.5 stars anyway because thanks to after market companies, we have upgraded options for repairs.

this is a must have item for your ford truck or vanheavy duty upgrade to the cheesy ford constructionthis is good solid metal and the bad ford as stock isplastic that goes bad in 5 years.get this to make the shift indicator to read right for sure!good upgrade to do when you are replacing the shift rod and shift handle assy.
