The top of the advertising page reads baitcasting however, this is a spinning rod combination. The package includes a spinning reel and a 2 piece carbon fiber carbon fiber rod. The rod is lightweight and sensitive. The handle has a green and white pattern and is easy to grip and manipulate. I have several other reels from this company and have not been disappointed. Their products are well made with quality materials.

It's OK, my son is 10 yo. He knows how to take care of the pole * somewhat. I don't feel the price was worth it due to my son being careless. It was his bday gift. It's nice and does the job .

I honestly didnt expect much from this rod and reel. But after landing 12 bass in 4 days size from less than a pound to 4lbs id say its an excellent starter combo. Cant expect smoothness like expensive reels but this will def catch you fish no problem. What I love about this is the rod. With a braided line you can feel every bump and hits. Even soft bites will register on the rod and youll never miss a fish!

I gifted this pole to my husband for Christmas. He loves it. He can't wait to use it. I accidentally ordered the left handed reel, but I was able to exchange it for a right handed reel with no problem. Now, hubby can use it. Grateful.

I'm not a professional fisherman by any stretch, just a casual one. To me, this combo hits a nice sweet-spot in price with quality construction, great function, and a reasonable price point. The first thing I noticed is that on casts it was very easy to flip the bail. Many lesser reels need a harder shove to go through that motion, but it's really smooth on this one. The rod has a nice snappy feel when casting, and plenty of good feedback when your bait is in the water. It's a simple thing, but I love that it has a hook holder at the handle as well.
