These pins make great gifts. The verses are small but meaningful. They write well and are nice to hold.

I got these pens to give out on Mother's Day, because they looked really attractive, have verses on them and the price is definitely right for a small church or women's group. Although I initially had some mixed feelings about these, after using one for 8 hours at work I think they're just fine.Pros: 1. Really Attractive Writing pen 2. The black part of the pen is satin finish smooth and feels good. 3. The cap fits on securely (maybe too securely?) 4. The printed verses are not smudged 5. At 55 cents apiece, the price is great! 6. There are 10 different verses, each is printed in an appealing gold font.Considerations:When I first got them and tried one at home I was a bit disappointed. There was a rough/scratchy feel as I wrote, which was more noticeable the more angled I held the pen, almost like I was off the ball point. Also, it sounded loud to me (my husband agreed with both of those). Plus they're balanced so that the weight is more in the top/cap of the pen when in use. Then I brought it to work for 8 hours (healthcare setting) and didn't notice any of that. It worked fine, and *nobody* stole my pen because it was obviously not theirs (plus, verses would make the average pen grabber feel guilty!).My only issue with the verses is that there's one (from Matthew) that is all in tiny cursive and a bit difficult to read. The references are all so small i need a magnifying glass to read them (old eyes), but some folks won't have a problem with that. The rest of the verses contain at least some larger, easier to read font.In summary, these pens look great on the outside, and they work fine (although I found issues when I paid too close attention and in comparing them to other pens). I'm comfortable giving these to moms on Mother's Day, and they'd be great for a basket/bag/gift stuffer.

I bought these pens and they are lovely however I had exchange them for another set that matches the notebooks I want to gift.
