Works good. It’s a bit of a challenge getting your old key into the slot where it goes-not for the novice to just get it to snap in place. But it worked and continues to be used daily.

Smart key would not close up after battery change. Why would it fail after 15 years?This allowed me to transfer my existing functioning electronic “guts” to the new shell. The existing key I clamped in a vise and with some body English, I got the metal key out of plastic shell. There were no instructions on installing key in new plastic shell, so I just put it in the slot and tapped tip with light hammer & it drove into place, no glue or hardware. Seems firm, hope it doesn’t pop out. Comes with a blank key shaft but if your electronics work, no need for a locksmith.
