I do not know why there are "NAY Sayers" about this strap. It is solid thick leather, and nice tooling. It is NOT a Big Wide Strap, it is kind of narrow, but as narrow as Vintage straps. The Buckle is fairly small but very nice, kind of subtle. The only thing, like someone else posted, the strap pin holes in the leather are small compared to other straps. BUT, just extend the little slot by the hole a little longer with a knife and wrestle it onto the pins. No need for strap locks. The reason the holes are small is because Gretsch uses a "Screw On" strap pin design, which is great, Remember, this is a Gretsch Strap and that is why it is designed that way. No Problem. I may get a few more in different colours for different guitars. Great Product!

I bought the Walnut through Amazon Prime, in Oct. 2014 and found the quality excellent. "Made in Canada", interestingly. -I certainly wouldn't want the leather any thicker than it is. Buy with some confidence, mine was great!
