This hat arrived in such an awful state that I immediately was ready to return it. But, I thought I would take it out of the bag and see what it could do. I was happily surprised to see that I could get it into the shape I was hoping for. I think it will require a bit of stuffing for a few days to improve the crown (although it looks fine when on). As I am planning on taking the hat on a trip, it proved to me that it is indeed packable - but I will do a better job packing it. I am surprised at how poorly the hat was packaged to start with and I would encourage the vendor to take more care as others could be scared away at its condition upon arrival.

Although this hat is lovely in its picture, AMAZON shipped it in only a plastic bag, meaning it arrived bent and mis-shapen. I returned the items stating it was horribly packaged and requested a replacement packed properly and received another hat, again in jus plastic wrapping. It too is horribly mishapen and there is no way to contact a seller to ask for assistance. I DID reach out to the hat manufacture who can assist with third party sellers such as Amazon. In short there is no guarantee of satisfaction unless you go direct to the hat manufacture, Sundayafternoons.com. This is what they said:The Kestrel Hat is made from 90% Paper and 10% Polyester, Exclusive of Decoration so I do NOT recommend steaming or getting this hat wet, as that will make it lose its shape even more. Since the Kestrel hat should be packed with care, it should be mailed in a box and not a plastic bag. To address this, I recommend contacting Amazon directly and requesting a replacement that's handled and shipped more carefully, or a refund.Our Guarantee covers qualifying manufacturing defects and materials on a case-by-case basis, providing an exact replacement. However, damages caused during shipping by a third-party are not covered.

I have at least 6 of the Sunday Afternoon Eclipse caps, so I was excited to see if this version would work fo my wife.Things I like:* Style and materials* Adjustable brim, ability to reshape it* Size adjustment system within the interior band* Available in size ranges, so it is not One Size Fits MostThings I don’t like:* It arrived in a plastic shipping bag and was deformed* After multiple days, the crown has mostly, but not completely recovered the factory shape* Adjusting the interior band to the smallest setting pulls it away from the interior band, so I’m worried about the long term comfort

Wear this about town and we'll take a traveling with me. Very easy to adjust and a lovely color. Fun hatband. Could be happier with my choice. Even wear it for gardening.

I have other Sunday Afternoon hats and love them. This must be a fraud as the tie string was broken when delivered and had no reinforcedRings.
