I have a 4" lift on my truck so I needed to used some shims to get it closer to the axle. I started with one that put them too close, within a 1/4" of the axle unloaded. Produced a pogo stick ride over bumps. Helped with the body roll the most, but too harsh. Adjusted several times using different size spacers. Found that about a 1" gap between the axle & sumosprings provided the best unloaded ride while still being effective with the trailer load, and body sway even unloaded. Over all the truck is much more stable. I did end up ordering several different length mounting bolts, from an online fastener company to get the right fitament as you can't just find them at the local hardware stores. I used jounce bump spacers from an unused jeep wrangler lift to get the right fit, anything similar would work. But well worth the price and would fit a factory suspension truck fine as is.

Springs came quickly with a good price. Worked well on my truck when pulling a 8500lb camper trailer. Definitely help. Installs in no time!

First off, unless you’re regularly towing a trailer with excessive tongue weight or putting a lot of weight towards the back of the truck, you don’t need these. Stop looking, there is no positive to these for a daily driver or a guy pulling a 12ft open landscape trailer. You’re only going to end up spending money on an unnecessarily bouncy rear end. These are also not so great for off-road applications as they limit suspension travel and try to lift your low side tire off the ground on uneven terrain. Driving through deep, loose beach sand at 5mph my rear tires hopped so harshly it triggered OnStar to call 911 for me twice in an hour.That being said, for for their intended purpose these things are hard to beat. When you start putting on weight, you’ve got ~2” of sag before the springs contact and start holding weight. The trailer I regularly pull has around 600lbs of tongue weight and I end up with less than 3” of total sag, pretty decent for a half ton pickup! Rear end definitely feels more planted to the ground, and with the truck riding level you almost don’t feel the trailer through the steering wheel. Worth their weight in gold if you’re putting on a lot of loaded miles.Install was 15-20 minutes tops, with most of that time being spent breaking the stock bump stops loose. Easy enough that when I know I won’t be towing for a week or two, I’ll swap them out for regular bump stops and enjoy the factory ride, which is a 5-10 minute job after you’ve done it a couple times.There’s a gap between the bottom of the cup that holds the factory bump stop and the bottom of the plate on these springs, which the kit includes a stack of washers to use as spacers. I shaved down a couple 3/8” drive sockets to use as spacers instead, which made the install feel much more solid. Aside from this minor issue, these get 5 stars from me every day of the week and I’d recommend them to anybody testing the limits on their truck’s tow/haul capacities.

Stiffened up rear suspension nicely yet still a comfy ride. Handles much better with load in back. Easy to install and great customer service from SuperSprings with tech questions.
