The picture on the listing says "upgraded metal handle" the handle is still plastic but at least it fit my truck minus 3 stars for misleading me:edit seller contacted me and offered a refund but asked me to make sure the handle was plastic, i went out and scratched it with a knife to be sure and it was actually metal. The coating on it just made it look plastic.

Easy installation on my 2002 s10 back when I had it. Good product and fits prefect for your buck.

The handle works, But this gets a one star because it's twice the price of a dorman, and it's no different. Same part number even, just different packaging. This is not stronger in any way, and is false advertising

It says metal handle and that all thats metal! I assumed that the entire assembly would be metal...for double what all the other replacement handles are id assume it would be all metal but the mounting plate and housing is plastic but it works as intended and very easy to install

Not sure how durable it will be because it still has plastic clips that can break easily but the handle pull is metal and feels stronger than the plastic original that broke.
