800 pound gorilla is a fun, fast paced, game that doesn’t require intense strategy. Perfect for kids or teens or really anyone. It’s definitely not a travel game because of all the different pieces, but a great tabletop or carpet game. I thought the pieces were going to be cheap and low quality but they’re surprisingly good. 10/10 would recommend for kids!

this could be a very fun game. We played with 3 people, but really I think 5 or more would be better.

This is one of the few games in my collection that really appeals to the small kids and the grandparents all at once!The premise of the game is of visual perception. After spinning, you have to pick a small, medium-sized, or large gorilla (or make a mad dash for the coconut or bananas). With small kids, it's great practice comparing large numbers to determine which gorilla is better (and also not intimidating or problematic if they can't figure it out on their own).On top of all that, it's just a lot of fun! Occasionally you have to shot out a silly word and everyone shares lots of giggles. You can't go wrong! Easy to learn and lots of fun.
