The tamper arrived quickly in a small, well-padded box that protected it from any scratches or dents. The tamper feels solid and well-made. The 53mm size is a perfect match for my Breville machine, ensuring even tamping.The handle is ergonomic, making it easy to apply the right amount of pressure without straining your hand. The included brush dusts off the grounds easily.Though it is a well made product, it is a bit on the expensive side for a tamper, considering there are more affordable options available that work just as well. I did notice that the brush keep getting grounds stuck in it after cleaning. Overall, this tamper is a solid choice if you're looking for something that fits your Breville machine perfectly, though the price might not be ideal for everyone.

This tamper and brush were a nice addition to my Breville Barista espresso machine. I use the tamper that came with the machine for the initial compaction while the dosing funnel is in place as this one is just a little too big to fit. I use this spring loaded tamper to finish it off after removing the funnel which results in very consistent dose, grind compaction and quality of extraction. This tamper is very well made with a weighty feel to it, plus the spring provides for very consistent pressure when tamping. The brush is a great accessory as well as making espresso is much messier than using a drip coffee maker, and using it really helps to keep the mess to a minimum. This tamper and brush are well made and I have found both to be must haves for an avid espresso/Americano maker as am I.

This is a nicely built very solid tamper. Comes with a nice metal cap and a brush for removing extra coffee. The tamper feels very solid in the hand. It doesn't identify what the pressure is for the tamper, but I was able to tested using a precise digital scale and it appears to be 30 pounds. For the money, I think this is a good value.Pros: Attractive and solid tamper, with stainless steel tamping base.Cons: No adjustable springs so you are stuck with the 30 pounds of pressure setting.As shown in my photo, somewhat unattractive branding printed on the tamper.

While these are designated for Breville espresso machines, in fact I acquired them for use with an old reliable Saeco Aroma. The tamper should work well with any 53mm portafilter - it works just fine with mine. As for the brush, it's obviously useful for any espresso setup whatsoever. The tamper is heavy duty, fits perfectly, and is easy to use. There's nothing special about it; it is simply a serviceable, well-built tamper that I expect to be able to use for years to come. The brush is very handy; the bristles are soft; and it's easy to shake out the espresso grounds to keep it clean. It allows much neater espresso preparation. Altogether this is a good deal for two essential elements.
