I don't know how long these batteries will last, but the original lasted 2 or 3 years. This order came with 2 batteries and a charger, so you can charge up one battery while you are using the other, whereas the Coolpix camera required the battery to be charged in the camera, which made the camera unusable while charging.With shipping and tax it only cost about $25. The camera is like its namesake "cool" but the batteries are not so cool, so this purchase makes the camera cool again. :) I like the SD card which plugs the pictures directly into my desktop or tablet for large screen editing and creative projects.

The customer service was outstanding. Oftentimes these inexpensive items from overseas wind up not being worth returning when they don't work, which can be frustrating. But this company replaced a defective unit & made it right. Very much appreciated.

Liked the small, compact size as I will be traveling abroad with this. Came with 2 batteries with higher A hr ratings than original battery (for waterproof camera). Although I gave superior rating for battery life, it is really hard to know. They run camera longer than original battery does now, but it's older. It may be years before I can judge the battery lifespan (cycles). Moot?
