I wanted this as a wall phone to use, not just decoration, but it is not designed to be hung on a phone wall plate; the screws holes don't match up and the cord comes out of the top instead of the back. It can be hung on the wall using screws, but there's no way to hide the cord. Also, you can't replace the handset cord with a longer one since it's attached on the handset side and doesn't come off. I did test it out and the sound quality is fantastic, both the speaker and microphone.

I got this for a theater prop and it was very nice for the royal palace and one of their phones without being the typical "Fancy French" style. I don't have a land line, but if I did, I would use this one for sure. It's different, but not crazy different.

Edit: Apologies as the phone is back to working again, as thankfully embarrassingly it was a operator issue aka I had accidentally plugged the cord into the wrong jack outlet when finished painting so why it wasn’t working as was. My fault! Hopefully I get many years out of the very cool phone as just love the look so unique & brings charm to my kind to the 70s which totally enjoy.Operators fault why stopped work 🫢☺️Very cool looking phone though for price expected to last past a few weeks yet unfortunately past the return window with no response from seller… missed package deliveries when was home and then with a visitor figured out it was because phone wasn’t ringing as it had originally.Really sucks as cool expensive phone for door buzzer that doesn’t work and got rid of the one had so now need to spend more money yay boo ah well eh

El teléfono se ve muy bonito y original de acuerdo al precio sin embargo lo devolví porque venía sin el auricular posible alguien lo saco en el trayecto . Pero lo volveré a. Pedir realmente me gusto

Bought this just because I thought it was cool or unfortunately, an oddity now and it reminded me of my childhood. My kids thought it was super cool just for a decor piece. As described and definitely do not regret purchasing! Cool find.

We do not have any cell service at our residence and rely on wi-fi for the mobile phones but it's not really safe. When we needed 911 for my elderly father it kept cutting out so they sent two squad cars with the fire department! A landline is necessary but can also be stylish, hence this phone. I love it and am so glad I found it!
