I was a bit skeptical of the cooler claims but it does have a cooling effect. It does have a waterproof claim that works - my dog tested it. Its some what thick so your sheets will fit just a tad tighter. I would purchase again.

Never expected this mattress pad to be so thick. The fit is great and it washed up well. Only thing I don’t care for, and this is minor, is the blue (seam) line which shows through the sheets

I bought a TempurPedic mattress a while back and hesitated to buy this mattress pad because of the price, and because I had others. But if you can afford it, I think its worth the money. Thicker than I thought it would be, but that's fine... fits the bed well and my sheets don't slide around.
