Update: 5 star to 3 star. I usually use it on 110v. It regularly trips the breaker. I have it set to 8a and the car set to 8a, and it's a 20a breaker. I believe it has something to do with the ground and 110v adapter. I have to regularly reset the gfci. It works well enough. but it does get tedious having only 110v and a regular tripping of breaker.Original review:I was skeptical about apps since I've had mixed results with chinese products and apps in the past. But this works great.I haven't tried 32a charging yet, but 8a and 16a work great, and limiting voltage is easy. I can even monitor voltage when not connected to the same wifi.

My big concern buying when I started looking at this, given that it is not a super well-known brand was that the electronics were not up to safety standards. This was the second charger I bought for my car, so I was coming off of a previous experience (from a different manufacturer) that was less than ideal. What I was looking for was some kind of UL certified product, or maybe ETL as a reputable alternative. It really isn't obvious on the listing whether this has those ratings. But I did some digging and I found some posts on Reddit showing how a whole bunch of the components are certified, and that there may even be a listing for the full unit that just isn't being advertised, which seems nuts.Anyway, what I can tell you is that I brought it home and plugged it in and the thing just works flawlessly. The screen is easy to use, and unlike the previous model I tried it didn't reset itself into an error every time I unplugged my car. So it was a huge upgrade from there. It seems well built, the material seem decent, so really I wouldn't hesitate on this one it's the right mix of quality and price. Pull the trigger and see it yourself.

I've really like the charger. The Tesla charger has been iffy, but this one has been solid. Problem is, you think you are going to get support when in fact, once you need it, you find out they are not available. Ever. Just having a small issue with the app (or is it the charger screen?). Who knows, because documentation is non existent and they use a 3rd party app as a controller, so no support there either.

I bought this charger for mobile use, and the Tera 50A wall mount charger here on Amazon for permanent home use, ahead of taking delivery of my Tesla Model Y. Given the price, I was a little skeptical of the quality with these, but I took a shot with a 30 day free return / review window so I had something to charge the new vehicle with when I got it. These were so affordable, that buying both still cost me less than a single charger of most other brands.Long story short - after about 6 weeks of ownership, I'm very impressed with both. This portable 32A charger has been pretty much flawless thus far - it's been a workhorse charging the Model Y without issue on the go with no weird overheating issues or anything else. It came with a J1772 to NACS adapter so I didn't have to buy that separately, it comes with adapters allowing it to use both a nema 14-50 receptacle and a standard American 120V/15A plug to charge just about anywhere, and it does the smart Bluetooth and wifi thing with both the SmartLife and Tuya apps. Good long cord for charging flexibility, yet fits in a small enough case to throw in your frunk or under trunk or lots of other storage places in your Tesla to keep with you. Also comes with some nice wall mounting options if you want to make it your permanent charger - and it certainly has enough power at 32A & 240V to be the main garage charger for most everybody if need be.Although I've been very impressed thus far - and I have actually used all the functions, features, and charging scenarios to be able to say that honestly and fully, here are some bits of feedback that Tera can use to improve the product:1. The J1772 to NACS adapter does come with a special plastic ring to basically bind the J1772 to the NACS connector in an innovative way for us Tesla owners. But the ring comes with no instructions, and it's not incredibly well designed to keep the adapter permanently mounted to the J1772 end. I had to be creative with some electrical tape to keep the adapter connected, and it's still not ideal. So Tera needs to make this adapter ring and it's tabs and attachments a little more robust, include some proper instructions for how to use install the ring properly for a good tight, permanent fit, or, with everyone switching to NACS shortly anyway on the cars, just come out with a Tera charger option where it just has a NACS connector permanently connected on the end and no J1772 at all.2. It would be nice if you could adjust the charging modes, timer, and other options on the fly while charging. As it stands now, the charger needs to be plugged in to the wall, but disconnected from the car / not charging, to change any options. This is the case when trying to change options on the charger itself with the touch sensitive buttons or the app controls via wifi or Bluetooth. This could probably just be changed with a firmware update via the SmartLife or Tuya apps too - if Tera is so inclined.3. To make this thing even more adaptable, inclusion of a nema 14-30 to nema 14-50 adapter would be useful too. This would allow plugging the car in on most home's dryer or range receptacles for a faster than 120V charge speed without needing a special nema 14-50 receptacle that many homes don't have.Otherwise, though, very impressed. Charges well, long charging cord for plugging in all over the garage and even outside it, quality construction, and great included accessories for a Tesla. If I can remember to do it, I will come back and post a long term review or update this if I have any issues over time. But at this moment on 11/25/23, I wholeheartedly endorse this product for quality and price. Nice job Tera! (And here's hoping this review provides some good feedback for future product updates down the road!)
