I have been using one of these for 3 months or so and i use it for filling a kerosene heater, lawnmower, emptying a gas tank, etc.. It started to develop leaks I purchased an electric one from Walmart ( see other review) for the Kero but it can't be used on gasoline so I got another one of these. It works well is cleaner and safer than pouring from a can and for the price is a good value.

Felt a little cheap but it does do the job, don't know how long it will last but works with hyd 32, 15w 40 , and 80-90 gear oil

This is a great siphon pump of you use a 55 gallon drum to store fuel such as diesel. The pump base screws directly into the drum 2 inch opening and the extensions allow you to safely reach the bottom. The bottom suction tube segment is cut at an angle to allow a constant flow without sticking to the bottom. This works best for refilling your 1 gal/5 gal fuel cans - it is not for refilling your tractor. You must be sure your fuel can is below the level you are pumping from, the lower the better. This is not an automatic pump - you must first pump/create the suction to lift the fuel up and over the actual pump housing and then gravity will keep it flowing. I would have rated this as 5 Star if two improvements were made: 1. Create a larger/longer suction pump in the base unit, as it takes a while/effort to get the fuel flowing at first, and 2. Have a longer fuel dispensing hose allowing it to reach at least 1 foot (preferably 2) below the bottom of a 55 gallon drum to allow a more complete siphoning of the drum. I have my drum set up 2 feet off the ground for this reason.
